The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), recently published a newly revised treatment guide for prostate cancer patients and their families. The new publication explains how radiation therapy works in conjunction with other treatments to treat prostate cancer, in addition to giving them information on the different types of radiation therapy, including proton beam radiation therapy.
